Using hair as my canvas…
From pixies, hot girl mullets, to mermaid hair, and long soft shags. Baby bangs to any and all face framing, that is my love language.
Growing up on the beach in Southern California, I love pairing my haircuts with lived in color that looks like you just got kissed by the sun and salt water.
I approach hair based off feel and intuition. Taking your face shape, hair texture, life style, and overall look into consideration. You are going to receive hair completely custom to you. I love that no two people are the same, and I take every opportunity to celebrate that in each client I have in my chair.
Diza Jewelry Designs…
Ive grown up watching my mom make the most beautiful jewelry for as long as I can remember. I would sit for hours with her from the time I was 2 and play with beads. I eventually found an obsession for rings. We always joked I needed more fingers for all the rings I would wear and buy.
It was during lockdown that I finally learned how to make them for myself. After taking multiple online courses from metal smiths that inspire me I feel like im finding my own voice through this medium.
In my work today:
You will see my love of organic texture, asymmetry, small irregularities, and a more intuitive approach to design. Choosing to accentuate what brings character to each piece.
For me, it serves both as a reminder that these pieces were forged by my hands as well as what I am inspired by at this moment in time. The work hints at the story of how each piece was created and my appreciation of that ever evolving journey.
This ideal of embracing the imperfect is something I think is important to admire in all aspects of life.
My hope is that when wearing my pieces you feel that connection as well, and it makes you feel perfectly you, beautiful and one of a kind.
Heirlooms made to adorn you a lifetime and generations thereafter.
